Darcy Fowler
TV & Film Writing Workshops. Virtual.
Own Your Vision
Write the show, series, or film only you could make.
Develop your TV pilot/series, or feature with structure, clarity, and real creative momentum - without sanding off the thing that makes it yours.

Led by Darcy Fowler
Currently writing the sequel to the Spyglass horror-comedy hit Heart Eyes. Co-creator and co-showrunner of FX's Little Demon. Writer on Netflix's Glow. Projects in development with Dakota Johnson's TeaTime Pictures (Cha Cha Real Smooth), Tornante Company (BoJack Horseman), and Toluca Pictures (Wednesday).
Who It's For
For emerging writers, working writers, and anyone ready to take their writing seriously.
Writer Outcomes
Writers from these workshops have gone on to secure managers, sell scripts and open a multitude of other professional doors.
THE PREMISE
The shows and films that stay with us are rarely the safest version of an idea. Think Severance, The Pitt, The Bear, Atlanta, Sinners, The Substance, Marty Supreme. They resonate because the artist trusted a bold point of view and had the craft to build it.
Whether you’re just starting out or already working professionally, the goal of these workshops is the same: find the idea worth fighting for, and build the tools to make it land. Originally rooted in TV pilots and series, these workshops have expanded alongside my own work and now welcome writers developing TV and feature material.

WHAT WE'LL WORK ON
-
Finding the engine of your project: what excites you most about the story, what drives it, and what makes it yours.
-
Crafting compelling characters, discovering their voices, and using their desires to shape the beats and structure of the piece.
-
Learning practical structure tools, including Story Circle, a structural tool that changed my life as a writer, to map your story, solve problems, and move through roadblocks with more clarity.
-
Building the foundation of your TV pilot/series or feature, while learning how to talk about the project clearly and confidently.
-
Working through take-home assignments and feedback between sessions so you leave with real momentum, not just notes.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a clearer story engine, stronger character work, a firmer structural foundation, and a more concrete sense of how to move the project forward on the page and beyond it.
