Virtual TV Writing Workshops led by Darcy Fowler
Darcy Fowler is the co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer of the animated horror comedy Little Demon, on FXX/Hulu, starring Danny Devito, Lucy Devito and Aubrey Plaza, executive produced by Dan Harmon. The Guardian called it “Rick and Morty meets The Simpsons at its peak” Darcy's written for tv and film for almost a decade, developing, optioning and selling shows to major networks including AMC, Comedy Central, TBS and production companies including Red Hour (Severance) and Jersey Films 2nd Avenue. She also worked as a writer on the acclaimed Netflix series, Glow.
She also recently adapted Nick Drnaso’s critically acclaimed graphic novel Beverly into a tv series with Picturestart (Theater Camp) and is currently developing TV shows with Toluca Pictures, Stoopid Buddy, and National Lampoon, as well as Jersey Films, along with other shows and features currently in development. She also co-produces Playlist with writer/musician Heather Robb -- Playlist is a Los Angeles based event that showcases the work of up-and-coming writers, musicians, actors and directors.
Darcy finds she's happiest when supporting and nurturing other artists and she’s designed this course to to create TV from a place of joy and empowerment.
