"I wish that Darcy started teaching workshops before I went to film school, because her workshops are just as good as an outrageously expensive MFA."

"Darcy’s TV Writing Workshop was the best investment I’ve made in myself and my work in years - maybe ever. When I began Darcy’s course, I was hesitant to take the leap. I had flirted with writing for the better part of 10 years, with almost no completed scripts to show for it. I was directionless, never sure how to follow a script to completion and lacking confidence in my own abilities.

By the end of the first class, I knew this workshop was exactly what I needed. Darcy creates a safe, creative, supportive environment, while providing concrete tools to improve your script and story. She guides carefully, with hands-on experience, while never stifling a student’s creative vision. By the end of the first workshop, I had completed a pilot, and more importantly, I felt empowered to write many more. Thanks to Darcy, I have finished 3 pilots in a year, with a feature and another pilot on the way.

If you’re looking for a class that offers constant support, tangible improvement, and an invaluable sense of community, you’ve found it.

I’d recommend Darcy to anyone who: has a script and wants to fine-tune it, has an outline but needs guidance, has an idea and doesn’t know where to begin. She’s an excellent guide at all stages of the writing process and you will complete her class feeling accomplished and ready for more."

“I’m a working writer who was looking for a class that could give me deadlines and structure, something to motivate me during some time off. Darcy’s workshop certainly provided those things, but what really set it apart was Darcy herself.  She’s a brilliant and hilarious storyteller, and an unbelievably good teacher whose generosity and patience knows no bounds.

The feedback I received (as well as hearing the feedback on other students’ work) was so helpful and insightful, and kept me extra eager to turn in pages each week.

I could not get over how much time she put into giving me such detailed notes -- I’m talking the kind of notes that feel life-changing, like “oh-my-god-this-idea-might-actually-be-something” kind of notes.

They helped me crack a script that I was really passionate about but had become so frustrated with and was ready to give up on. I am not over-exaggerating when I say this class completely changed how I approach my own writing, and I would look forward to each session all week long. Would highly recommend these workshops for seasoned writers, total beginners, and everyone in between. “

"I stumbled upon a post about Darcy's workshops near a year ago now and decided, with little hope, to give them a go. There aren't any words to truly communicate how grateful I am that this happened. I've just completed my second workshop, and have a full pilot I'm so proud of under my wing. Darcy not only coaxes the artist within you out, she does it in such a kind and fun environment, something that is truly rare in our industry today. She is so genuine, you're confronted with yourself in writing. I would say these workshops are pretty much invaluable. Thank you."

"Taking Darcy's workshop was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was new to TV writing and didn't really know what to expect. The structure and guidance she provided gave me the knowledge and motivation I needed to finally get my ideas out. I was able to go from a loose concept to a completed draft of an hour-long pilot in just a few months. I'd taken a few other writing workshops over the years, but none of them moved the needle for me. It always felt like I was just one of many receiving the same standardized instruction. But Darcy's workshops are so interactive and personalized. Her enthusiasm for the craft of storytelling and the genuine care she takes with providing insightful feedback make her workshops truly impactful.”

"Working with Darcy has transformed me from an actor with a writing hobby into an actor-writer actively pursuing a career creating my own work. The warm environment she created, her genuine belief in my ideas and talent, and enthusiasm for the craft have changed my life completely and given me a whole new confidence in my skills! The friends and collaborators I met in her group, herself included, are people I will carry with me forever. I could go on and on, but the long and short of it is: get into a Darcy Fowler workshop ASAP."

"Darcy’s notes are absolutely invaluable. I’d trust her to weigh in on any script, in any medium or genre, at any stage. When something is in its earliest form, she helps you find the most exciting direction to take it in. And when something is more developed, she helps you discern what it needs most. She’s brilliant at appreciating every new project as its own enterprise while also hearing how it converses with existing shows and movies. She also models how to embrace the rigors of tv- and screenwriting with a light heart. The chance to work with her is a great fortune!"

"I cannot recommend Darcy enough as a teacher. I've taken a couple of other tv writing classes, and Darcy's is by far, the best. She goes BEYOND in her enthusiasm, encouragement, and thoughtful feedback. I have become a much better writer thanks to Darcy's incredible guidance!"

"Darcy is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Darcy is more than just a teacher, she is a mentor. She will help you take the seed of an idea and grow it into something better than you could've possibly imagined! What I love about Darcy is that she doesn't tell her students HOW to write. Instead, she looks at what makes each individual writer unique and gives them the tools and guidance to create their own beautiful voice and writing style. I am forever grateful for Darcy and the community of talented writers that her class has provided me. I can't recommend this course enough."
